We are pleased support Premiere Napa Valley with our Lot #71, 2022 Picnic Tree — Cain Vineyard.
Named for the two trees—a Bay Laurel and an Oak—that grew together entwined and offered ample shelter for a summer picnic, our Picnic Tree vineyard has an expansive view, looking over the heart of the Napa Valley from the crest of the ridgeline separating Napa from Sonoma county to the west. Here, the cool marine air from the Pacific often streams down over the vines.
Although those two trees were lost to the 2020 wildfire that swept across our vineyard, many of the vines survived and are now, at nearly thirty years old, offering wines of depth and completeness. This wine represents the fruit of the survivors.
Look for subtlety and complexity in this wine, together with the classic Cain signature aromas of wild herbs and earth.
